NEW OFFERINGS IN 2026

Sacred Storyteller DENISE AUGUSTINE joins the Cultural Curriculum Project roster.

We are excited to announce our exclusive partnership with Denise Augustine, Sacred Storyteller. Denise delivers compelling keynote experiences that use the rich cultural legacy of New Orleans as a lens for leadership, innovation, and connection.  For corporate audiences, Denise takes time to understand the organization’s mission, values, and event goals, thoughtfully integrating those themes into her storytelling. Drawing from the resilience, collaboration, and creative ingenuity embedded in New Orleans history—from jazz ensembles to neighborhood traditions—she highlights powerful parallels to teamwork, adaptability, and authentic leadership in today’s workplace. The result is an engaging, customized keynote that resonates deeply, strengthens shared purpose, and leaves audiences inspired to see their own work and stories as part of a larger, meaningful narrative.

Her knowledge of New Orelans history and music makes her an exciting guide on our inimitable Syncopated Strolls.

From the Blue Room to the Dew Drop Inn: A Rock-n-Roll Journey

New Orleans is celebrated worldwide as the Cradle of Jazz—but it is also the birthplace of Rock ’n’ Roll. In the late 1940s and early 1950s, composer, bandleader, and producer Dave Bartholomew, alongside his longtime collaborator Fats Domino, forged a bold new sound that would change popular music forever.

This cultural experience begins at the historic Roosevelt Hotel, home of the legendary Blue Room, which still presents live music today and once hosted the pioneers of early rhythm and blues. From there, a mini-coach tour carries guests through the neighborhoods where Rock ’n’ Roll first took shape, including the former recording studio of Dave Bartholomew—now home to his son Don Bartholomew’s studio and record label..

The journey concludes at the iconic Dew Drop Inn, where greats such as Dr. John, Ray Charles, and Little Richard performed and honed their craft. From the elegance of the Blue Room to the soul of the Dew Drop, guests experience firsthand how New Orleans launched Rock ’n’ Roll onto the world stage.

Alternatively, the experience can begin at Historic New Orelans Collection.

Musical Heritage: A Storytelling Experience

Musical heritage is the rhythm of who we are — the songs, sounds, and traditions passed down through generations that shape our identity, culture, and personal journey. The program will begin with master practitioners of New Orleans music performing as guests enter and take their seats.

In this interactive, community-building experience, guests explore their own musical roots while connecting with the living legacy of New Orleans. The musicians open the program by sharing personal stories of the music, mentors, and moments that shaped their lives, offering an intimate window into the city’s cultural heartbeat.

Guided “turn-and-talk” moments invite participants to share a meaningful musical memory with one another, sparking connection, reflection, and camaraderie.

The experience culminates in a creative collaboration: each guest designs a square representing their musical heritage. Together, the squares form a collective “Heritage Quilt” — a powerful visual symbol of shared stories and community. The finished piece can be framed, displayed, auctioned, or raffled as a lasting reminder of the experience.

A celebration of memory, music, and connection — this is New Orleans, shared person to person. The moment will end in a performance and perhaps a second-line, too.
