The Cultural Curriculum Project guides are themselves culture bearers and community leaders; jazz singer, record producer, actress to name a few. These guides will immerse you in New Orleans music, history, and culture on your syncopated stroll. The storytelling gives insights into life in the Big Easy, including the emergence of jazz and the G.O.A.T - New Orleans native Louis Armstrong. Guides will reveal influences and events that shaped New Orleans' unique melting pot of music and cultur

Guests will experience cultural influences on New Orleans as they travel through a musical journey that begins in Congo Square. Master Drum and Dancer will share West African rhythms, dances, songs, and the history of the people that gathered in Congo Square since the 1700’s. Following this 30-45 minute engagement, a professional licensed sacred storyteller will guide the guests through the sculpture garden of Armstrong Park which includes important musical icons and traditions.

Master musical practitioners, artists, and community leaders will be your escorts as you tour the New Orleans Jazz Museum. Their intimate knowledge of jazz and their commitment to preservation of traditional jazz will be a unique insight into each exhibit. Groups may arrange for a concert to follow the tour.
